SONORA — An advanced rangeland management workshop has been scheduled for May 15-17 at the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station at Sonora.
The workshop will provide information and strategies to improve range conditions and habitat for ranch owners, said Ray Hinnant, one of the academy instructors.
“Those that have taken the basic rangeland management course or who have some educational training in rangeland management are eligible for this workshop,” Hinnant said.
“Participants can expect to come away with several different grazing strategies that they can take back home with them and implement on their ranch.”
Hinnant said participants will also learn in-depth information about plant identification and learn to develop grazing strategies that can be incorporated into their operations.
Participants are divided into groups so there can be more interaction between participants and instructors.
Cost of the workshop is $395 and early registration is encouraged. To register online or for more information, go to http://rangeweb.tamu.edu/arm/
