COLLEGE STATION - Dr. James Christiansen, professor in agriculture education, has been selected as the recipient of the 2004 Texas A&M University Bush Excellence Award for Faculty in International Teaching.

Dr. James Christiansen, professor in agriculture education, has been named the recipient of the 2004 Texas A&M University Bush Excellence Award for Faculty in International Teaching.
“This prestigious honor recognizes Dr. Christiansen’s outstanding international teaching achievements and his long-standing personal dedication to the international education at Texas A&M University,” said Dr. Glen Shinn, department head of agriculture education.
Christiansen has international agriculture experience in over 17 countries. He has coordinated numerous international graduate level programs, including the graduate certificate program in International Agriculture and Resource Management.
He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the University of Arizona and his doctorate from The Ohio State University. Christiansen has been teaching at Texas A&M since 1968.
Christiansen will be presented a plaque and honorarium from the George Bush Presidential Library Foundation during the Consuls General Luncheon on March 1.
