COLLEGE STATION - Texas A&M University’s Water Week has been set for Feb. 7-11, and students are invited to enter water-related research posters for competition and exhibition.
Rick Giardino, dean of the office of graduate studies, said this poster session is an opportunity to present water research findings to faculty, students and professionals involved in water management and hydrology.
Competitors must be Texas A&M undergraduate or graduate students in a water-related discipline and be in attendance at the conference during a reception from 3-5 p.m on Feb. 7 in the Rudder Tower Exhibit Hall on the Texas A&M campus.
The posters will be on display Feb. 7-8.
All entries should be submitted on the Graduate Student Research Poster Contest Abstract Form, found at http://waterfaculty.tamu.edu , and emailed to Clint Wolfe atcwolfe@ag.tamu.edu.
The deadline for entries is Jan. 21; due to space limitations, only the first 50 entries will be accepted.
Dr. Ronald Kaiser, Texas A&M professor of water law and policy, said Water Week 2005 will highlight state and national water issues that are the subjects of ongoing faculty and student research.
