PLAINS – Helping farmers produce a better peanut crop is the goal of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service’s upcoming Texas South Plains Peanut Production Workshop set for 8:45 a.m. until 1 p.m. Feb. 28 in Plains.
The free workshop and luncheon will be held in the Plains Community Building located one block south of U.S. Highway 82/380 on Avenue G.
Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available in the following categories: general, one and a half, and integrated pest management, one.
Topics will include a market update along with talks on peanut varieties, disease, weed control and agronomics.
