SAN ANTONIO –The Bexar County Extension Education Association, a volunteer association supporting Texas AgriLife Extension Service efforts in the county, is holding its annual Mother’s Day Plant Sale on May 12 in San Antonio, said an event coordinator.
The sale will be from 8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at Good News Lutheran Church, 11020 Old Corpus Christi Road on the city’s south side.
“We will have a nice selection of hanging baskets and 10-inch blooming plants, but we recommend people come early as quantities will be limited,” said Dr. Connie Sheppard, AgriLife Extension agent for family and consumer sciences in Bexar County and sale co-coordinator with the association.
Sheppard said proceeds from the sale will benefit the Bexar County Extension Education Association Scholarship Program.
“Each year the association gives out scholarships to support 4-H programs and activities,” she said. “This plant sale is a good way to help support youth education and development through buying attractive plants at reasonable prices.”
