CANYON – A Pre-Plant/Weed Management Producer Update Meeting will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 11 by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service at the Kuhlman Extension Center, 200 N. Brown Road, Canyon.
“We wanted to help producers establish not only a good pre-planting plan, but also develop strategies for addressing severe weed control issues for both pre- and post-planting this crop season,” said Dr. J. D. Ragland, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent for Randall County.
The fee at the door is $10, and lunch will be included. RSVPs are requested by noon Feb. 10 to 806-468-5543.
The program, sponsored by Randall County Crops and Beef Cattle Committee, will offer two Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units – one general, one drift management – to private pesticide applicators.
