AgriLife Extension names two new agents to Far West Texas posts

FORT STOCKTON – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has named two new county family and consumer sciences agents to posts in Crockett and Glasscock counties.
Kailey Roberts, Crockett County, and Emilee Yanez, Glasscock County, reported to their respective counties on June 15, said Ray Bader, AgriLife Extension director in Fort Stockton.
“I’m very pleased with these appointments,” Bader said. “Emilee and Kailey both demonstrate an appreciation for our part of the state, which when coupled with their educational and professional backgrounds should do nothing but strengthen the already strong AgriLife Extension traditions these two key counties have long enjoyed.”
Roberts earned a master’s in counseling and a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio.
Her previous job experience includes serving as a ResCare case manager/career specialist and Girl Scouts of Central Texas program coordinator, both at San Angelo, and as a Westin La Cantera Hill Country Resort greeter trainer in San Antonio.
Yanez earned an associate degree from Howard College in Big Spring and a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Angelo State University in San Angelo.
As a recent graduate, she has student taught at the kindergarten and elementary school level at a number of appointments in San Angelo as well as one in Robert Lee. She was also an instructor at Trinity Lutheran Early Childhood Center in San Angelo.
