Scholarships awarded at Blackland Income Growth Conference

WACO – Scholarships were presented to eleven 4-H members at the 54th Blackland Income Growth Conference held recently at the Waco Convention Center.
The annual conference, sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Waco Chamber of Commerce, provides agricultural education to producers in the Blacklands region.
The scholarships were presented during the conference luncheon that featured Rod Snyder, president of Field to Market.
Receiving $1,000 scholarships were: Benjamin Murphy, Bosque County; Tristan Harbour and Mason Matthews, Coryell County; Hannah Celella, Kaufman County; Samantha Merrifield and Blaike Pankonien, McLennan County; Rebecca (Rose) Craig, Navarro County; Hollyann Roach and Dalton York ($1,500 Scott Felton Scholarship), Tarrant County; Bailey Franklin and Chase Heffernan, Williamson County.
