Boyle, a native of Mission, started Jan. 2.

“We are glad to have Thomas join the District 3 team in Dickens County,” Dabovich said. “His 4-H and beef cattle ranching background along with a Texas Tech animal science degree will be a great asset to the Dickens County program.”

Boyle said he has learned a lot from working on his family’s ranching operation for the past 10 years.

“The cattle we have on our ranch were also shown in the show industry. This gave me the opportunity to learn a work ethic that applies to all of the agriculture industry.”

Boyle said he was active in 4-H for 10 years, which gave him a chance to see how AgriLife Extension works.

“I knew this job was right for me and I look forward to working with the producers and the youth in Dickens County,” he said.
