COLLEGE STATION – Pesticide laws and regulations will be the topic of the March 1 natural resources webinar conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service ecosystem science and management unit.
The webinar is part of the Texas Range Webinar Series scheduled the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m., said Pete Flores, AgriLife Extension webinar coordinator in Corpus Christi.
Morgan White, program specialist for pesticide certification and compliance with the Texas Department of Agriculture in Austin, will be the presenter. She will provide an overview of Texas laws and regulations pertaining to licensed pesticide applicators.
Continuing education unit requirements, recordkeeping issues, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s revised Worker Protection Standard rules and the revised certification and training rules will be addressed. Also, White will give some quick tips for staying in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.
One TDA laws and regulations CEU will be offered during this webinar, Flores said. Participants seeking CEUs must pay a $10 fee on the website. For all others, there is no fee.
