MULESHOE – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Bailey County will host a cotton field day Sept. 19 at the Chris Bass Farm near Muleshoe.
The program will begin at 10 a.m. at the farm, located 6.5 miles north of Muleshoe on Texas Highway 214. The field is on the west side of the highway at the corner of County Road DD.
“We will be touring a replicated agronomic cotton evaluation, or RACE, field trial,” said Curtis Preston, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent in Bailey County. “Our speakers will be AgriLife Extension personnel and seed company representatives who will be presenting information about the trial.”
Preston said there will be no charge for the program, and two general Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be offered.
