GEORGETOWN — Those interested in planting, growing and maintaining fruit or pecan trees in the Central Texas area should attend the Fruit and Nut Tree Planting and Pruning Workshop Feb. 5 in Georgetown, program coordinators said.
The workshop, presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, will begin at 10 a.m. in the training room of the AgriLife Extension office for Williamson County, 3151 SE Inner Loop.
Registration is $15, and lunch will be provided for an additional $10.
Dr. Larry Stein, AgriLife Extension horticulturist, Uvalde, will kick off the program with a presentation on promising varieties of pecans and fruit trees for Williamson County. He will also address proper tree planting and management.
