BAIRD – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a Lunch-N-Learn series on horticultural topics starting May 1 in Baird.
The cost is $10 per session or $20 for the series, which may be paid at the door. The program will run from noon-1 p.m. at the AgriLife Extension office for Callahan County at 100 W. Fourth St., Suite 201.
“We hope folks will come out and spend their lunch with us learning about a variety of horticulture topics relevant to this area,” said Karl Winge, AgriLife Extension agent for Callahan County. “Participants may bring their lunch or we will have sandwich ingredients on hand.”
The three-part program’s dates and topics are as follows:
- May 1, Care of Fruit and Pecans Tree – Larry Don Womack, Womack Nursery, Deleon.
- May 29, Oak Wilt and What to Look For – Rachel McGregor, Texas A&M Forest Service, Weatherford.
- June 5, Lawn Care During the Summer Months – Winge.
