A range and pasture herbicide update will be given during the May 7 Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management Unit range webinar.
The webinar is part of the Texas Range Webinar Series, scheduled the first Thursday of each month from noon to 1 p.m., said Pete Flores, AgriLife Extension webinar coordinator in Corpus Christi.
Bob Lyons, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension range specialist in Uvalde, will be the presenter.
The webinar will cover understanding how to read herbicide labels to compare products and information on three new herbicides, Lyons said. It also will discuss individual plant treatments, as equipment, timing and application method can drastically vary the effectiveness of brush herbicide treatments.
One general Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education unit will be offered, Flores said. Participants seeking CEUs must pay a $10 fee online, but all others can attend for free.
