The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will present a free online West Region beef cattle marketing update on May 20.
The event will run from 11 a.m.-noon on the Zoom meeting platform with a focus on the impact of COVID-19 on the beef industry.
Participants can preregister for the webinar or those preferring to join by phone can call in the day of the event to 346-248-7799 and enter meeting ID 989-3674-4956.
“With the current COVID-19 situation we, as the West Region beef cattle team, want to continue to support our producers,” said Jamie Osbourn, AgriLife Extension agent for Llano County. “This program is a follow-up to our previous program and will focus on the beef packer industry inaccuracies that have been reported. It will also cover the challenges that feedlots face and how it relates to beef producers.”
Featured speakers are Ron Gill, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension livestock specialist, College Station, and Brady Miller, Texas Cattle Feeders Association director of market, membership and education, Amarillo.
