A one-hour webinar for dairy producers on “Strategies to Reduce Costs and Milk Production” will be presented by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service offices in Erath, Comanche and Hamilton counties.

The webinar will be from 11 a.m. to noon May 11. Those planning to attend are asked to register by 10 a.m. May 11 and they will be provided a link to participate in the Zoom meeting.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has put dairy producers across the nation in a difficult position,” said Jennifer Spencer, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension dairy specialist, Stephenville.
“We have asked two of the premier experts within the industry to come have a conversation with Texas producers to discuss some strategies that may help them survive this crisis,” said Juan Piñeiro, DVM, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension dairy specialist, Amarillo.
The presenters will be Gustavo Schuenemann, DVM, Ph.D., Extension veterinarian, and Bill Weiss Monday, professor of Dairy Cattle Nutrition in the Department of Animal Sciences, both at The Ohio State University.
Their topic of discussion will be: Changes in Management Practices and Ration Formulation to Decrease Costs and Milk Production without Compromising Cow Health or Future Performance.
