The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service is offering a three-part series geared toward the new landowner starting Nov. 5. The webinars will run three consecutive Thursdays at a cost of $15 for the series.
The series will be held on the Zoom meeting platform; advance registration is required. The times and available Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units varies by session.
“For any new landowner, this series covers key topics Texans need to know about,” said Tom Guthrie, AgriLife Extension agent for Mills County. “This is also a great opportunity to earn CEUs as we inch toward the end of the year.”
Dates, times, topics and available CEUs are as follows:
- Nov. 5, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Pasture management, weed and brush control. Two CEUs available, one laws and regulations and one general.
- Nov. 12, Noon- 1 p.m. – Texas Wildlife Service’s update, feral hog and predator management. One CEU in integrated pest management.
- Nov. 19, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. — Small ruminant management, forages for small ruminants. No CEUs.
