Courses will be held from noon to 1 p.m. on consecutive Tuesdays at the AgriLife Extension office in McLennan County at 4224 Cobbs Drive.

“This program consists of weekly lessons to help participants move toward a healthier weight,” said Colleen Foleen, AgriLife Extension family and community health agent, McLennan County.
The Step Up and Scale Down program is based on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s guidelines, which are intended to help Americans choose a healthful eating plan, she said.
The course will guide participants toward weight management goals through nutrition tips, exercise and a weight-loss planner. The research-based program has proven success in weight management and building healthy lifestyle habits. The group setting allows participants to support and encourage each other.
