A Farm Pond Management event will be offered by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service on May 23 in San Antonio. The event is sponsored by the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee in Bexar County.

The event will be from 9-11 a.m. at the AgriLife Extension office in Bexar County, 3355 Cherry Ridge St., Suite 208.
The cost is $10. It is payable by cash, card or check at the door for in-person attendees. If attending virtually, payment must be received in advance. Checks should be made payable to ‘Bexar Ag and Natural Resources Committee’ and mailed to the AgriLife Extension office. There will be one Texas Department of Agriculture integrated pest management continuing education unit available for pesticide applicators.

- Farm Pond Management Overview, Sam Womble, AgriLife Extension agriculture and natural resources agent, Bexar County.
- Pond Design and Construction Considerations, Samantha Salinas, resource team leader with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resources Conservation Service, San Antonio.
- Managing Aquatic Vegetation and Control Options, Brittany Chesser, AgriLife Extension aquatic vegetation program specialist, Bryan-College Station.
