PLAINVIEW – Jason Miller has been named the new Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent for agriculture and natural resources in Hale County, according to Hale County Judge Bill Coleman and Michael Clawson, AgriLife Extension district administrator based in Lubbock.
“Jason is a great fit for Hale County,” Clawson said. “He has a strong educational background, having previously served within our agency and in the public school sector. These experiences should make for a smooth transition into his new post.”
Miller started work July 6.
Miller earned a master’s degree in agricultural education and bachelor’s in interdisciplinary agriculture, both from Texas Tech University at Lubbock.
He worked previously as an AgriLife Extension agent in Stonewall County and has also taught agricultural science for the independent school districts of Abernathy, Southland and Patton Springs.
