The course instructor will be Morgan Treadwell, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension range specialist and professor in the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management, San Angelo.
Participants will receive hands-on experience in fire behavior, weather interpretation, planning, ignition techniques and post-burn evaluation.
When conditions permit, multiple prescribed burns will be conducted, providing valuable field experience alongside skilled instructors and burn professionals.
“Whether you are pursuing certification or simply looking to develop your fire knowledge and field skills, this course offers an engaging, practical learning experience that connects classroom instruction with hands-on application,” Treadwell said.
