Brushy Creek Watershed protection plan meeting set for April 23 in Round Rock
Community meeting will review watershed data, provide input
The Texas Water Resources Institute, TWRI, will host a public stakeholder meeting on the Brushy Creek Watershed Protection Plan, WPP, on April 23 in Round Rock.

The meeting will be from 6-7:30 p.m. at the City of Round Rock Department of Public Works, 3400 Sunrise Road.
Improving local water quality
This meeting is part of ongoing education and outreach for the development of the WPP, a voluntary, stakeholder-driven process to protect and improve water quality in the creek, which currently faces bacterial impairments in some sections.
Attendees will review results from the Brushy Creek Watershed Characterization report and learn how stakeholder input will guide the plan’s goal setting.
Help shape the future of Brushy Creek
“Community input gives us real insight into what is happening in the watershed,” said Sarah Stannard, program specialist and watershed coordinator with TWRI. “This meeting is a chance for residents and local organizations to share their experiences and help guide the future of Brushy Creek.”
Through watershed planning, research and public education programs, TWRI helps communities protect and improve the quality of Texas water resources.
TWRI is a unit of Texas A&M AgriLife Research that brings together expertise from across The Texas A&M University System.
