Chicken breeder and hatchery forum set on Nov. 19 in Bryan-College Station
Texas A&M Department of Poultry Science hosts seminar on important flock management topics
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M Department of Poultry Science will host the Texas Breeder and Hatchery Forum at the Thomas G. Hildebrand DVM ’56 Equine Complex, 3240 F&B Road in Bryan-College Station, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 19.
The cost is $85, and registration is open to the public.
The forum is an educational seminar designed for those engaged in the commercial production and management of breeders and hatcheries or individuals and companies who provide products and services for the poultry industry.

Sessions cover range of important breeder and hatchery topics
The seminar offers concurrent sessions covering hatchery and breeder topics.
Topics will include hatchery sanitation, hatch residue analysis and ventilation for seasonal and regional conditions. Breeder topics will cover pullet-cockerel uniformity during rearing, feed techniques, and performance water quality and light management.
Round table discussions and Q&A sessions with speakers will conclude the day for the hatchery and breeder programs.
