Disaster preparedness topic of Dec. 16 webinar
Will provide information for providers supporting people with disabilities
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and OneOp will host a free webinar, “Disaster Preparedness for Providers Supporting People with Disabilities,” on Dec. 16 from 10-11 a.m.

About the webinar
This session will highlight accessible transportation options in an evacuation plan, identify emergency-related needs of individuals with disabilities and their caregivers, and review how to sign up for and access multiple emergency alert systems.
The webinar will be presented by Logan Perkes, regional disability integration specialist for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Region 6, which includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico.
Continuing education credits available
Participants can earn continuing education credits, CEUs, for attending this session. Up to seven CEUs are available.

· Board-certified patient advocates, Patient Advocate Certification Board.
