Registration for both in-person and virtual options is $60. Registration for the virtual option is online. Registration for the in-person locations is available by calling the AgriLife Extension office at the numbers listed below.

Continuing education units offered

The seminar offers eight Texas Department of Agriculture pesticide continuing education units: three general, three in integrated pest management, and two in laws and regulations. Licensed commercial and noncommercial applicators can obtain their required five hours within the first five hours of the program.

  • New World screwworm update – Sonja Swiger, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension entomologist and professor in the Department of Entomology, Bryan-College Station.
  • Updates on laws and regulations – Elizabeth Prokop, coordinator for pesticide certification, Texas Department of Agriculture.
  • General laws and regulations – Don Renchie, Ph.D., AgriLife Extension pesticide safety program coordinator and associate director for the AgriLife Extension Agricultural and Environmental Safety Unit, Bryan-College Station.
