Event exploring caffeine effect on mind and body set for Sept. 15 in Waco
AgriLife Extension program will cover short- and long-term caffeine effects and energy alternatives
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in McLennan County will host “Sip Smart: The Caffeine Effect,” an in-person and virtual event. on Sept. 15 in Waco.

The event will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the AgriLife Extension office for McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive,
The cost is $20, and participants should register by calling or emailing Rachel Esquivel, AgriLife Extension agent for family and community health in McLennan County, at 254-757-5180 or [email protected] by Sept. 11.

Sip Smart is designed to uncover how daily caffeine consumption impacts the mind and body, building awareness of caffeine’s effects and the different reactions individuals experience.
Participants will learn the following:
- Caffeine’s short-term effects.
- Caffeine’s long-term effects.
- Ways to get energy without caffeine.
