FarmHope workshop set for April 28 in Sinton
Free workshop to cover estate planning, financial planning and farm stress
A FarmHope workshop will take place on April 28 at the San Patricio County Fairgrounds, 219 W. Fifth St., Sinton.

FarmHope is a collaborative effort of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M Health Telehealth Institute.
Participants are asked to preregister online at tx.ag/FarmHope26. The free training begins with registration and a meal at 5:30 p.m., and the program will run from 6-9 p.m. The event is hosted and sponsored by the San Patricio and Aransas County Farm Bureaus and Capital Farm Credit.
The program will focus on farm and ranch estate and financial planning. Presenters will discuss stressors unique to farming and ranching, as well as management strategies.
On the program
The workshop will include four sessions:
- Key estate planning considerations, Tiffany Lashmet, J.D., AgriLife Extension agricultural law specialist and professor, Texas A&M Department of Agricultural Economics, Canyon.
- Stressors unique to farming and ranching, Miquela Smith, AgriLife Extension health program specialist in the Disaster Assessment and Recovery unit, Lubbock.
- Financial planning, Emma Vassaur and Joe Newcomb, Capital Farm Credit, Robstown.
- FarmHope services – Mikaela Spooner, Ph.D., psychologist and clinician at the Texas A&M Telehealth Institute.
