Feral hog management workshop slated for July 15 in San Antonio
New technologies, laws and regulations among topics to be covered
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service office in Bexar County will host a feral hog management workshop on July 15 in San Antonio.

The workshop is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at the AgriLife Extension office for Bexar County, 3355 Cherry Ridge Drive, Suite 208.
The cost is $15 per person and registration is required by contacting Kennedy Green, AgriLife Extension county office assistant, at 210-631-0400 or [email protected]. The deadline to register is July 11.
Payment can be sent to the AgriLife Extension office in Bexar County, 3355 Cherry Ridge Drive, Suite 212, San Antonio, Texas 78230. Make checks payable to Bexar Ag/NR Committee.
Three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units — one laws and regulations, one general and one integrated pest management will be offered.
Workshop topics
The following topics will be covered:
- New technologies in feral hog management, James Long, project coordinator with the Texas A&M Natural Resources Institute and Department of Rangeland, Wildlife and Fisheries Management, Bryan-College Station.
- Laws and regulations for hunting feral hogs, Long.
- Transportation regulations, T. R. Lansford, DVM, deputy executive director with the Texas Animal Health Commission.
