The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Washington County will host a stress management workshop on Dec. 15 in Brenham.

This engaging and interactive session is open to the public and designed for anyone interested in improving their overall wellness.

The free workshop will be from 4-5 p.m. at the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, Roberta Cole Johnson Program Room, 100 Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.

About the workshop

The workshop will introduce participants to the experience and practice of mindfulness to reduce stress.

Participants will:

  • Explore the effects of stress on the body and mind.
  • Learn the difference between helpful and harmful stress.
  • Discover practical strategies to manage stress in everyday life.

The program is part of the family and community health initiative in Washington County and provides research-based education and resources that empower residents to live healthier, more balanced lives.
