Hosting the event are the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, Texas A&M Center for Grazinglands and Ranch Management, and Texas Grazing Land Coalition.

The free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Rocker B Ranch, 10151 County Road 401. A catered lunch will be provided, and event registration is required by March 3.

The event will offer two general Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units for pesticide applicator license holders.

About the event

The hands-on workshop is designed to provide producers with practical tools and strategies while connecting with peers in the livestock industry to gain valuable insights to improve management practices.

Topics and materials covered include:

  • Soil health principles.
  • Rainfall simulator demonstration.
  • Grazing and drought management.
  • Leadership updates from the Texas Grazing Lands Coalition.
  • Rocker B Ranch highlights, history and overview of management practices.
