Small Landowner Spring Workshop series begins April 13 in Waco
AgriLife Extension program to cover land management basics, beekeeping, poultry, pasture management
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in McLennan County, in partnership with McLennan Community College Continuing Education, will host the Small Landowner Spring Educational Workshop Series beginning April 13 in Waco.

The program is designed for new and small-acreage landowners interested in learning practical strategies for managing their property more effectively.
The three-part series will be held from 6-8 p.m. on April 13, April 20 and April 27 at the AgriLife Extension office in McLennan County, 4224 Cobbs Drive. Participants may also attend virtually through Microsoft Teams.
The cost is $49 and includes all three sessions. Registration is available online at tx.ag/SmallLandownerWorkshop. Registration is also available by phone at 254-299-8888. After registering, participants will receive additional program details and instructions for attending.
Workshop topics
Each session will focus on key topics relevant to landowners in Central Texas.
Session 1 — April 13:
- Introduction to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service
- “What to Do With My Piece of Texas” land planning overview
- Agricultural property tax valuations
Session 2 — April 20:
- Introduction to beekeeping
- Backyard poultry production
Session 3 — April 27:
- Pasture Management 1
- Pond Management 101
