Sourdough Making Class set for April 18 in Brenham
Hands-on course will teach participants full sourdough process from starter to bake
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will host a hands-on Sourdough Making Class on April 18 in Brenham.

The class will be offered in two sessions to accommodate participants’ schedules. The morning session will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and the afternoon session will be held from 2-6 p.m.
The classes will be held at the VIP Building of the Washington County Expo,1305 E. Blue Bell Road.
Space is limited, and the registration fee is $35 per person. Online registration is available at tx.ag/SourdoughMakingClass, and the registration deadline is April 10.
About the event
Attendees will learn the full sourdough process, including preparing and maintaining a starter, mixing and shaping dough, and preparing loaves for baking. The class is designed for beginners as well as individuals interested in improving their sourdough baking skills.
Participants will leave the class with their own sourdough starter and prepared dough ready for the oven, allowing them to continue the baking process at home.
Participants are asked to bring their own bowl, approximately 4-quart size, for use during the class.
