Turfgrass and Landscape Field Day set for Oct. 8 in Dallas
Texas A&M AgriLife event showcases latest turfgrass research, technology and management practices
Turfgrass professionals, landscape managers, lawn enthusiasts and industry insiders are invited to attend the 2026 Turfgrass and Landscape Field Day on Oct. 8 at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Dallas.
Hosted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and the Texas A&M Department of Soil and Crop Sciences, the event will take place from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Texas A&M AgriLife center, 17360 Coit Road, Dallas.
The field day will feature research tours, live equipment demonstrations and educational sessions highlighting the latest advancements in turfgrass and landscape management. Participants will have the opportunity to connect with Texas A&M AgriLife faculty, industry professionals and fellow attendees while exploring current research underway at the center.
General registration is $100 with discounts for students, groups of five or more, and Texas A&M AgriLife employees. Lunch will be provided. Attendees can register online at https://tx.ag/2026TurfGrass.
Event topics
Educational sessions and demonstrations will cover a variety of timely topics affecting the turfgrass and landscape industry, including:
- Pest, disease and weed management.
- Soil health and fertilization practices.
- National Turfgrass Evaluation Program Trial.
- Economic analysis of turfgrass systems.
- Irrigation management and water conservation strategies.
- Emerging technologies in turfgrass.
The event is designed for turfgrass professionals, landscape managers, golf course superintendents, municipal employees, lawn care professionals, researchers, students and anyone interested in the latest innovations in turfgrass and landscape management.
At least three Texas Department of Agriculture continuing education units will be available for eligible participants. Final number and areas are still being determined.
