WatershED 101 teacher workshop set for July 16 in Fort Worth
Event will provide hands-on training in water quality and watershed science
Educators, natural resource professionals, volunteers and others interested in water resource education are invited to attend the Dallas-Fort Worth, DFW, WatershED 101 Workshop hosted by the Texas Water Resources Institute, TWRI, on July 16 in Fort Worth.
The free professional development opportunity focused on water quality, watershed science and outdoor learning will run from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Tarrant Regional Water District Administrative Building, 800 E. Northside Drive.
Registration is free and includes lunch, but space is limited. Interested participants are encouraged to register online by July 13 at tx.ag/WatershED101. Registration is also available by emailing Sarah Stannard, TWRI program specialist, Bryan-College Station, at [email protected].
Teachers and educators invited to water workshop
The event is hosted by TWRI in partnership with the Tarrant Regional Water District, Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, Tarrant County Master Gardeners and other regional partners.
The workshop will introduce participants to hands-on activities, educational resources and local water resource topics that can be incorporated into classrooms, community programs and outreach efforts.
Topics will include water quality monitoring, aquatic invasive species, watershed processes, community science opportunities, water conservation and outdoor learning.
