ELDORADO – Charles Redman will become the new Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent for agriculture and natural resources in Schleicher County effective Feb. 2, according to Schleicher County Judge Charley Bradley and Marty Gibbs, AgriLife Extension administrator at San Angelo.

“We feel Charles will be a good match for Schleicher County,” Gibbs said. “His knowledge of the area, its agriculture and climate, coupled with his educational skills, should make for a smooth transition into this key county in the West Central District.”

Redman earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business from Tarleton State University in 1998. He grew up in Saint Jo and was involved in AgriLife Extension’s 4-H youth development program and FFA. Prior to accepting the AgriLife Extension position in Schleicher County, he worked for Glendarroch Homes of Fort Worth.

Redman fills the position formerly held by Cody Bridges, who transferred within the agency to Mason County.
