SEMINOLE – The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has named Erin Snodgrass as the new family and consumer sciences agent in Gaines County.
The announcement was made recently by Gaines County Judge Tom Keyes and Michael Clawson, AgriLife Extension administrator at Lubbock.
“Erin will be a great fit for Gaines County,” Clawson said. “As a current resident there, she is very familiar with the county and with the region in general. She is also very well-versed in health, fitness and nutrition education, qualities that will quickly endear her to the diverse and mixed-age clientele found within our region of the state. I am extremely excited about Erin’s enthusiasm and passion to educate both youth and adult audiences. It is an honor to welcome her to the District 2 AgriLife Extension team.”
Erin will complete AgriLife Extension’s First-Step orientation training in Terry County prior to assuming her permanent Gaines County duties effective Nov. 2.
Snodgrass earned a bachelor’s in exercise and sport science/sports health promotion from Abilene Christian University. She has been substitute teaching with the Seminole Independent School District and also was a wellness coordinator with iaWellness in Lubbock.
Her coaching and volunteer experiences include serving as a high school pitching coach, pitching and batting coach for ages 5-20, Kairos Prison Ministry and Emmaus Ministry.
