SAN ANGELO – Courtney Redman, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service 4-H youth development agent for Tom Green County, will transfer to the county’s family and consumer sciences post effective Nov. 1.

The announcement was made by Tom Green County Judge Steve Floyd and Marty Gibbs, AgriLife Extension district administrator at San Angelo.

“Courtney has a positive proven track record in Tom Green County and within our agency, so I expect this to be a seamless transition,” Gibbs said. “She’s also no stranger to our district as she was the family and consumer sciences agent for Irion and Schleicher counties from 2008-2013.”

Redman earned a bachelor of science degree in human sciences from Tarleton State University at Stephenville and a masters of education in guidance and counseling from Sul Ross State University at Alpine.

Prior to joining AgriLife Extension, she was a family and consumer science teacher for the Clear Creek Independent School District at League City and for the Alvin Independent School District at Alvin. She also was a home and community based specialist, service coordinator for the Johnson-Ellis-Navarro Mental Health Mental Retardation Services at Cleburne.

Redman will assume the post formerly held by Kathy Aycock who retired recently.
