COLLEGE STATION – Mary Keough Ledman (’90) and Doug Duncan (’89) were recently inducted into the Tyrus R. Timm Honor Registry in the department of agricultural economics at Texas A&M University.
The induction ceremony was held at the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building in College Station with Dr. Parr Rosson, department head, leading the program. Ledman and Duncan also gave seminar presentations to faculty, graduate students and honor registry members.

“We are extremely pleased to honor these individuals who have not only excelled professionally, but have exhibited leadership in both business and local communities,” Rosson said. “They exemplify what this registry is all about and reflect the core values of Texas A&M: excellence, integrity, leadership, loyalty, respect and selfless service.”

The registry recognizes outstanding former students for meritorious accomplishments in their fields. It is the highest department-level honor and is named after Tyrus R. Timm, who led the university’s agricultural economics department from 1953 until 1973 during its rise to national prominence in teaching, research and Extension.
Timm was known for his knowledge of finance and agricultural banking.
Keough Ledman heads Keough Ledman Associates Inc., a dairy consulting firm that provides monthly dairy product and milk forecasting, economic and policy analysis, cash and futures dairy product trading, as well as domestic and international dairy market information services. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in agricultural journalism and a master’s degree in agricultural economics from Texas A&M.
Duncan is chief economist and senior vice president for Fannie Mae. He manages the economic and strategic research department, overseeing 35 professionals. He graduated with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in agricultural economics from North Dakota State University and a Ph.D. in agricultural economics from Texas A&M.
