BRYAN – Kerri Michalewicz, the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service district office manager at San Angelo, has been awarded the Superior Service Award in the office support category.
Superior Service Awards recognize AgriLife Extension faculty and staff members who provide outstanding performance in AgriLife Extension education or other outstanding service to the organization and to Texans.
The award was presented Jan. 12 during the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Conference awards dinner at the Brazos Expo Center in Bryan.
Michalewicz’s nomination credits her for being an “effective, dedicated, innovative and dependable employee who provides exemplary customer service to internal and external clientele and partners.”
The nomination further states that Michalewicz has developed knowledge and expertise that exceed the the scope of her job responsibilities, making her an invaluable assistant to the district AgriLife Extension administrator and as an information resource for employees across District 7’s 23 counties.
Marty Gibbs, AgriLife Extension District 7 administrator at San Angelo, praised Michalewicz for her aid during his transition from county agent to administrator.
“Kerri has been a tremendous asset to me as a new district Extension administrator,” Gibbs said. “She has provided stability to the district, and made my transition into this role seamless. She is extremely proficient, professional and dedicated to AgriLife Extension.
“I believe Kerri’s greatest asset, though, is her attitude toward change and her ability to accomplish anything,” he said. “She takes the initiative, provides leadership and actually enjoys new challenges.”
Michalewicz started her AgriLife Extension career in 2003 as the district’s senior office assistant and 4-H office associate prior to her current role as district office manager.
