Wright will start June 6 in Potter County in the First Step training program before heading to Dallam and Hartley counties in July.

“We are excited to bring Bailee on to our team of agents in Dallam and Hartley counties,” Dukes said. “She is energetic and her past experiences within 4-H will help her grow the existing youth program.”

Wright is a recent graduate of West Texas A&M University and has worked previously as a summer intern with the Texas Pork Producers Association and as a marketing associate for The Cattle Range in Amarillo.

Wright said she is from a family of agricultural producers, teachers and coaches and grew up showing livestock and competing in various activities through 4-H and FFA. In 4-H she showed and judged livestock, participated in the food challenge, consumer decision-making and methods demonstrations, and held numerous offices.

“Through my work experiences and my leadership roles, I have learned that my two passions are serving others and youth development through agriculture programs,” she said. “I look forward to sharing my passion and work ethic to facilitate change and growth for the youth of the counties and provide them with guidance, support and opportunities.”
