Gilliam moving from AgriLife Extension’s Archer County office to Hardeman County

QUANAH – With more than 15 years of experience, Justin Gilliam has started as the new Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service agent in Hardeman County.
“Justin brings experience to the Hardeman County program,” said Miles Dabovich, AgriLife Extension district administrator in Vernon. “His background with AgriLife Extension and the clientele of Hardeman County will bring strong programming efforts for production agriculture and 4-H youth programming.”
Gilliam previously worked as the 4-H agent in Milam County and the agriculture and natural resources agent in Throckmorton County and, most recently, in Archer County.
A native of Quanah, Gilliam earned his associate’s degree from Clarendon Junior College, his bachelor’s degree from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, and his master’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
“Growing up on a beef cattle ranch and farming, I have learned a lot about the importance of these industries as they relate to the education needed to continue to improve both,” Gilliam said.
“I have learned to successfully educate both youth and adults through a variety of methods from programs to one-on-one consultations, and I look forward to assisting both the youth and adults of Hardeman County,” he said.
