Her first day is Oct. 17. She will spend the next month in Baylor County training in the First Step program before starting in Throckmorton County full time.

“We look forward to having Kloey come aboard the District 3 team,” said Miles Dabovich, AgriLife Extension district administrator in Vernon. “Her past job experience working with people and solving problems will be a great asset to the AgriLife Extension program in Throckmorton County. She grew up as a 4-H member and loves the rural setting.”

A native of Amarillo, Cargill earned a bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University. Most recently she worked as the coordinator of events for the National Reining Horse Association in Oklahoma City.

“I have always had a strong passion for agriculture,” Cargill said. “I have built my life around being an agriculture advocate, and helping others learn about our industry. I want my love for agriculture to make a lasting impact on our industry.”

Cargill said she looks forward to becoming a part of the community of Throckmorton, and “I hope to involve as many individuals as possible in the county 4-H program.”
