COLLEGE STATION — A new webinar series for winemaking enthusiasts will begin July 20 and more are planned for the future, according to Dr. Andreea Botezatu, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service enologist in College Station.

Dr. Cristian Varela, senior research scientist at the Australian Wine Research Institute, will be the presenter for this first one-hour webinar, which will begin at 5 p.m.

“The series will start with a very informative seminar on strategies to reduce alcohol levels in wines, covering everything from viticultural practices to pre-fermentation and winemaking,” Botezatu said.
