LUBBOCK — Marcus Preuninger joined the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service Feb. 12 as a county agent in District 2. As the sole agent for Mitchell County, Preuninger also serves as the 4-H and county coordinator.
“I wanted to work for AgriLife, and I got my degree in agriculture education to support kids and help develop their leadership abilities,” Preuninger said. “What I hope to accomplish in Mitchell County through 4-H is to help produce high-quality individuals for the future. I’m here to support them on their journey to becoming future leaders.”
Preuninger is a Burleson native. He earned his bachelor’s degree in agriculture from West Texas A&M University, Canyon. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in agriculture education.
During his undergraduate work, Preuninger interned for AgriLife Extension in Swisher County and was a student worker for the West Texas A&M department of agriculture. He also has worked as a student and substitute teacher, organized stock shows and taught FFA leadership workshops.
