The Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences on Tour, AGLS on Tour, series is going on the road again to connect with future Aggies.

This dynamic series of student receptions, running from Feb. 26 through March 4, provides a unique opportunity for prospective and admitted students to engage with faculty, staff and current students in a community near them.
This year’s AGLS on Tour will make stops in McAllen, Katy, San Antonio, the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Amarillo and College Station. Jeffrey W. Savell, Ph.D., vice chancellor and dean for Agriculture and Life Sciences, along with College leaders and students, will be present at each stop to personally welcome attendees.
Thanks to the College of Agriculture Development Council, admitted students who attend are eligible for competitive academic scholarships. Light refreshments and appetizers will also be provided.
Students and their families can register for any of the upcoming locations by visiting tx.ag/AGLSonTour2025.
An interactive look at AGLS
AGLS on Tour is a casual, come-and-go student reception that offers a chance to experience the College’s collaborative and supportive culture. More than just an informational event, it provides insight into academic programs, student resources and community life.
Attendees will meet current students who can share their experiences, connect with faculty and staff, hear from Savell in person and gain valuable information about student life and career opportunities.

“This tour is an opportunity to meet students where they are and introduce them to the welcoming environment of AGLS,” Savell said. “We want them to feel the strong sense of community and support that defines the Aggie experience.”
Attendees will be able ask questions, discuss academic pathways and explore ways the College can help them succeed to be the future leaders in agriculture and life sciences.
“This year, we are creating more interactive opportunities for students to engage and connect,” said Robert Sturdivant, program coordinator for student development in the College. “This event allows students to see the value of an AGLS degree, not just in education, but in the lifelong network it provides.”
Each event lasts two hours and is open to admitted and prospective students along with their families.
“The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences isn’t just about academics — it’s about the people,” Savell said. “We want to create meaningful connections with students and their parents, helping them feel confident about choosing AGLS.”
