Danya Peterson joins AgriLife Extension as agent for Garza County
LUBBOCK — Danya Peterson has joined the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service as an agriculture and natural resources agent for Garza County.
“There are so many opportunities in agriculture for kids, and I want to help open the doors for them through my new position with AgriLife Extension,” said Peterson.
Michael Clawson, AgriLife Extension district administrator, Lubbock, will be her supervisor.
“Danya has a diverse professional background that should prove extremely beneficial in her new role serving Garza County,” said Clawson.
Peterson earned her master’s degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University, Tucson, and her bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from the University of Arizona, Tucson.
Peterson’s past work experience includes nine years teaching at an elementary school, managing an equine center and serving as a college rodeo coach. She is also an experienced sheep producer and farm equipment operator.
