4-H Gold Star winners honored
The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service honored 19 outstanding 4-H members from District 7 on Oct. 28 at the annual 4-H Gold Star Banquet at the Rock House Ridge in Coleman.
“The Gold Star Award is the highest honor given by AgriLife Extension to 4-H youth on the county level,” said Garry Branham, AgriLife Extension 4-H specialist, San Angelo. “Winners were picked based on their personal development, leadership and achievement in 4-H projects, and on activities and contributions made to the 4-H program.”
This year’s 10-county Gold Star Banquet conducted by AgriLife Extension was sponsored by the Coleman County Electric Cooperative, Concho Valley Electric Cooperative, Central Texas Electric Cooperative, Hamilton County Electric Cooperative, Southwest Texas Electric Cooperative, Taylor Electric Cooperative and the Big Country Electric Cooperative.
