Zoeller hired as AgriLife Extension agent for Schleicher County

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service has hired Mark Zoeller to be the agriculture and natural resources agent for Schleicher County. Zoeller will start Jan. 1.

“Mark will be a real asset to AgriLife Extension and Schleicher County,” said Marty Gibbs, District 7 AgriLife Extension administrator, San Angelo. “I think his education and experience will serve him and the people of his county very well in his new position as an agent.”

Zoeller earned his bachelor’s in resource management from Angelo State University, San Angelo. On Dec. 14,  he will graduate from ASU with his master’s in animal science.

“Growing up in a family and a community that had a well-established 4-H presence has built a strong foundation for this opportunity within Texas A&M AgriLife Extension,”  Zoeller said. “The chance to work within the community, as well as to guide youth within the county, is an exciting opportunity and a blessing. Working with producers and other members of the community in this position is an exciting start to my AgriLife career.” 

While at ASU, Zoeller worked as both a teaching and research assistant. He was a member of  ASU’s Block and Bridle, the Registered Angus Show Team, Meat Judging Team, Wool Judging Team and Meat Animal Evaluation Team. He is also a member of the Meat and Food Science Association in addition to being Beef Quality Assurance Program certified.
