Michael Merchant, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Merchant has served since 1989 as a professor and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension urban entomologist at the Texas A&M AgriLife Research and Extension Center at Dallas. In this job, he works with a variety of urban pest management duties, including pesticide applicator training and developing pest management (IPM) programs for use in public schools. His research interests include the management of insect pests of turf and ornamentals, bed bugs, termite control, fire ants, spiders and scorpions.
