The program will provide participants with an array of information including the basic structures of a pond, assessing a pond’s condition and the associated costs with remediating existing issues.

Brittany Chesser, AgriLife Extension aquatic vegetation program specialist and lead diagnostic scientist at AgriLife Extension’s Aquatic Diagnostics Laboratory, Bryan-College Station, said the materials covered during the webinar are relevant to real estate agents and new landowners, as well as those who are in the market for a new property.

“A pond can add or detract from a property depending on its current condition,” Chesser said. “It’s important for real estate agents and prospective landowners alike to have foundational knowledge of pond functions and the costs associated with proper management.”

The webinar is $35, and registration is required at https://tx.ag/PondAssessment. The course offers one continuing education unit from the Texas Real Estate Commission for participants who attend live.

Following the course, a link to the recording will be sent to all registrants. The link will be accessible for one month.
